A few days ago, Arkansas head basketball coach John Pelphrey announced that sophomore point guard Courtney Fortson had decided to declare for the NBA draft, but had not hired an agent.
A few minutes ago, we received word from BP Sports Management announcing that Fortson had signed an agreement with their agency to represent him during his professional basketball career. A tweet from his new agent, Charles Briscoe, also appeared this evening.
By signing with BP Sports Management, Fortson must forego his remaining college eligibility.
“Courtney was one of the most explosive guards in the country this year. His second half performance against Mississippi State speaks for itself,” his agent Charles Briscoe said.
Fortson joins his former college teammates Michael Washington and Stefan Welsh as clients of BP Sports Management.
