The Fayetteville Visitors Bureau announced today that they’ve added seven new bikes to their bike rental program.
The Visitors Bureau began renting bikes to Fayetteville residents back in April 2009, when Walmart Stores of Fayetteville donated the first batch of bicycles to the center. As of today, there are 16 bikes available for rental at the Visitors Center, with three of those bikes being child-sized.
Visitors Bureau communications manager Jeessica Edwards Leonard said the new bikes are hybrid cruisers.
“They’re really nice bikes. Perfect for the trails,” Leonard said.
The bikes are available to rent Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. and on Saturdays from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
The cost of renting a bike from the Visitors Bureau is $2 for an hour, $5 for half-day and $10 for a full day.
