Last week, the Walton Arts Center tweeted the following sneaky tweet: “Exciting new artist confirmed…Check your e-mail next week for details, but let’s just say, this crooner has some wicked talent.”
“Chris Isaak?” we replied.
Turns out, we were right. Today, the WAC officially announced that Mr. Isaak is coming to town for a show on Oct. 12.
Isaak got crazy famous with his 1991 hit “Wicked Game” (released in 1989) featuring his retro-sounding falsetto, and sexy video featuring model Helena Christensen rolling around topless in the sand.
Since then, Isaak has appeared in several movies, and later, demonstrated that he’s actually pretty hilarious in own Showtime series “The Chris Isaak Show.” Last year, Isaak debuted “The Chris Isaak Hour,” a music interview series on the Biography Channel.
Lately, he’s been touring the country in support new album “Live at the Fillmore,” released in June of this year.
Tickets go on sale on Thursday, Sept. 2 at waltonartscenter.org.
