If you’ve ever wanted to be a public access television producer, now’s your chance.
The city’s television center is offering Accelerated Producer Training Classes during the month of December. Pre-registration is required, but classes are free and open to the public.
The Accelerated Producer Training Class is a four-hour, intensive course designed for individuals or groups who have a strong interest in learning multiple aspects of video production at the convenience of an accelerated rate. The class incorporates the information and training that students receive in the Orientation, Field Production, and Basic Final Cut Pro editing classes.
Students in the class learn about public access television, become familiar with the City of Fayetteville Television Center, receive hands-on training with field cameras, shot composition, basic editing using Final Cut Pro, and will produce a short public access producer’s promo for cablecast on Fayetteville Public Access Television.
Upon completion of the class, students will also be equipped with the necessary training and certification to begin producing their own programs, take advantage of ongoing technical support from Community Access Television staff, and take production refresher courses that will be provided monthly beginning in 2011.
Classes will be offered on the following dates:
Saturday, Dec . 4: 10:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m.
Wednesday, Dec. 8: 5:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m.
