Our friends at The Tale of The Tape are back in the Weekend Mix game for 2011 and we couldn’t be more relieved.
This week’s 10-track sampler includes another dose of great new music including a newish project – Obits – from rock genius Rick Froberg (Pitchfork, Drive Like Jehu, Rocket from the Crypt, Hot Snakes).
Unfortunately, none of these bands are headed to Fayetteville, but a few will be within driving distance (is Nashville too far?) in 2011.
Monday, Jan. 24 – Moondoggies in Memphis, TN (Hi-Tone Cafe)
Thursday, March 10 – La Sera in Nashville, TN (The Basement)
Monday, March 14 – Obits in Memphis, TN (Hi-Tone Cafe)
Sunday, May 15 – Mogwai in Dallas, TX (Granada Theatre)
Thanks again to TTOTT for sharing and don’t forget to frequent their site for more music downloads, news, and reviews.
