Giveaway: Drumline Live at Walton Arts Center

This giveaway is now closed. Congrats to the winners, Haley Bestgen and Innarested Observer.

Did you see the movie Drumline, released in 2002 by 20th Century Fox?

I ask because the folks behind the music for that film have created a mobile version of the show called “Drumline Live,” a 39-person high-energy stage show featuring musicians, dancers, and steppers performing hip hop, R&B, classic Motown, along with some traditional brass tunes.

As it happens, that show is coming to the Walton Arts Center, and we have two pairs of tickets to give away to the 8 p.m. performance on Jan. 29. Yeow.

How to enter

Most of the coolest people I know played in the high school marching band. Did you?

Leave a comment telling us what instrument you played, and you’re entered. If you didn’t play in the band, tell us what instrument you wish you could play, and you’re entered. If you don’t wish you could play any instrument (whatever), just name an instrument you don’t wish you could play, and you’re entered.

What you’ll win

Two randomly selected winners will receive two (2) tickets to the Drumline Live show, scheduled for 8 p.m on Saturday, Jan. 29 at Walton Arts Center.

A few rules (read ‘em carefully):

  • You may enter this specific contest once.
  • This contest is open to anyone anywhere except Fayetteville Flyer writers, Walton Arts Center employees, and their immediate family members.
  • Contest is open until 12:00 p.m. CST on Friday, Jan. 21
Make sure you leave a valid e-mail address when filling out the comment form since that’s how we’ll contact you if you’ve won. Once we notify the winners, you’ll have 24 hours to respond via email to claim your prize.
  • You’ll have to provide us with your first and last name (if you win) and then be prepared to show a valid photo ID when picking up your tickets.
