Chamber to discuss Arkansas congressional redistricting

The Fayetteville Chamber of Commerce will host their third in a series of forums with area legislators today a 4 p.m. (Friday, March 4) at 123 W. Mountain Street in downtown Fayetteville.

The agenda for the forum includes a presentation by District 35 representative Bill Pritchard, who will be in attendance to discuss his plan for remapping Arkansas’ congressional districts.

The Arkansas Board of Appointments is currently working on redrawing district boundaries in Arkansas for the House of Representatives and Senate. District lines are revisited every ten years, once the population date from the Census Bureau becomes available.

A question-and-answer session with the legislators is included in the program.

Future legislator forums are scheduled at the chamber for March 18, and April 1 (if necessary). The events are free to attend and open to the public.
