Mad Spirits I – Wade Ogle & The Mad Sprits

Wade Ogle recently announced that he will release two songs every 4 to 6 weeks for the remainder of 2011 via his Bandcamp page. The first two tracks, “I Will Love You,” and “Mad Love” are now available to download on a name-your-price basis.
Wade plans to release his entire catalog of out-of-print Dali Automatic, Faith Healers, and Honey Died records via Bandcamp as well. So far, Camera Psyche Soul Head (Faith Healers, 1989), Jets on Backfire (Dali Automatic, 1993), Kiss Yr Universe (Dali Automatic, 1994), and Honey Died EP (Honey Died, 1996) are available to stream from his page.

The Purples are another project of Memphis Pencils guitar player (and music scientist) Jim Sloan. Sloan recently released a 9-track album of guitar meditations on various subjects, events, or objects. The record is entitled Temporarily: Wah Wah Handel and is also free on Bandcamp. Each track includes a bit of information on the subject of Sloan’s meditations.
