A recent survey from Connect Arkansas found that 68 percent of Arkansans now have high-speed internet access in their home or workplace. That’s a 26 percent increase from 2007.
With numbers like that, some say it’s time cities be allowed to post legal notices, ordinances, foreclosures, etc. online instead of being forced to print them in a newspaper.
To us, it’s obvious why a law is needed to ensure such notices are posted in a reliable, secure, time-tested and easily accessed third-party location. It’s also becoming more apparent that a website might be a much less expensive way to reach that goal.
