A meeting of the Fayetteville City Council is set for 6 p.m. Aug. 16 in room 219 of the City Administration Building located at 113 West Mountain Street in Fayetteville.
There are ten consent items including a resolution authorizing the purchase of two computer servers for the police department’s off-site disaster recovery center in the amount of $104,501.
Also on consent are two resolutions approving a participation and unsecured loan agreement with the Fayetteville Chamber of Commerce and Mount Sequoyah Center, Inc. to perform energy retrofit services in the amounts of $13,918 and $121,000, respectively, as part of the city’s Community Revolving Loan Fund for Energy Efficiency. The fund provides low interest loans to non-profits to perform energy efficiency and renewable energy improvements for which they pay the city back with their energy savings.
There are two unfinished business items on the agenda including an ordinance rezoning .5 acres of property at 2012 West Martin Luther King Boulevard from RMF-24 (Residential Multi- Family 24 units per acre) to C-1 (Neighborhood Commercial). A USA Drug store is proposed at the location between Town & Country Liquor and Braum’s.
Also up for vote tonight in unfinished business is a resolution approving and adopting a revised Master Street Plan and street cross-sections. This resolution was tabled at the June 21 and July 5 meetings.
Six items make up the new business agenda for tonight including rezonings at 736 North Garland Ave., 130 South Hill Ave. (Eco Modern Flats) and 636 South Foster Ln.
