Osage Creek Amphitheater update
According to a message posted on the Osage Creek Amphitheater Facebook page, officials are securing “final financing” to complete construction of the venue. “Keep the faith and feel free to talk to us about investment opportunities. Rumors are circulating of a possible new owner of The Lofts at Underwood Plaza on Dickson Street. Ted Belden may soon be the new outright owner and may convert portions of the building into a bar, extended-stay condos, or a hotel. (Arkansas Business)
Shawna Thorup hired by Southern Hospitality Management
No explanation has surfaced for Shawna Thorup’s recent resignation as executive director of the Fayetteville Public Library, but it does appear she has found a new job. Boy hit by truck in Fayetteville
After being hit by a truck in Fayetteville Thursday morning, a 7-year-old boy was taken by helicopter to Arkansas Children’s Hospital in Little Rock. (KNWA)
Crossover Road widening coming soon
Widening construction on Crossover Road between Mission and Joyce boulevards could begin in as early as two weeks. The project, which calls for four lanes and a raised median, is expected to be complete in late 2013. (NWAOnline)
