Colin Beavan, author of the book No Impact Man, will speak at 6:30 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 27 inside the Arkansas Union Ballroom on the University of Arkansas campus.
Beavan began an experiment in 2006 along with his wife, infant daughter, and family dog to see if they could live with no environmental impact for one year. He documented his experience in his book, in a documentary film, and on his blog.
Beavan will also attend a Drinking Water Info Expo outside the Union at 1 p.m., and will speak with UA students at the Union Ballroom on Thursday at 1:30 p.m.
