Fayetteville police arrested one person who they believe planned a home invasion on Olive Avenue that left one suspect dead.
Workers from NWA Sign Shop were installing Tilted Kilt Pub & Eatery signs on the north and east sides of the building formerly home to T.G.I. Friday’s in north Fayetteville last week.
The Fayetteville Bulldogs beat the Bentonville Tigers 29-28 in overtime in the 7A state championship football game. It’s the first state title for the Bulldogs since 2007.
Despite finishing No. 6 in the final BSC standings, Arkansas will not be playing in a BCS bowl this year. Instead, the Hogs will take on No. 8 Kansas State in the AT&T Cotton Bowl.

Nashville’s Kopecky Family Band are set to return to Fayetteville tonight. The group was just named to Paste Magazine’s list of the ‘25 Best Live Acts of 2011‘ alongside bands like My Morning Jacket, The Flaming Lips, The Avett Brothers, and Girl Talk.
