We’re not exactly sure when, but Google recently updated some of its close-up map imagery of Fayetteville, and they happened to catch the city at a rather unique time.

It seems a little early to be talking about council elections, but we recently discovered a Facebook page created by local resident Sarah Marsh who plans to become a candidate for Ward 1, Position 2 on the Fayetteville City Council.

Mayor Lioneld Jordan gave his annual State of the City Address before last night’s council meeting. We posted a brief recap of what passed the council and also a transcript of the mayor’s address.

The Arkansas men’s basketball team fell to No. 2 Kentucky 86-63 Tuesday night. The Hogs are now 13-5 on the season heading into Saturday’s matchup against No. 20 Michigan in Bud Walton Arena.

Arkansas’ own Elise Davis is in town for a couple of performances today. Davis last summer left the Natural State and moved to Nashville to record her fifth album “Cheap Date” with producer Mark Nevers at Beech House Recording. First up is a 6 p.m. in-store appearance at Sound Warehouse. Later in the evening, she’ll take the stage at George’s Majestic Lounge.
