George’s Majestic Lounge is set to undergo a significant renovation project this summer that will include a stage expansion, air conditioning in the garden, a new green room, and other back-stage enhancements.
The new Fayetteville guidebook was expanded and renamed this year. It includes 44 more pages than last year’s edition and for the first time ever, features a double-sided, fold-out map.
University of Arkansas Media Services videographer Brian Petty documented a rare spectacle none of us are likely to ever see again when he captured the 2012 transit of Venus this week.
First Thursday returns to the Fayetteville square tonight and will include events related to this year’s NWA Black Music Month Celebration. Officials promise “a lively dance party scene complete with a live disk jockey, face painting, and an attempt to create the largest Soul Train line in Arkansas history.”
