Expect at least a two-long closure of the southbound lanes of North Hills Boulevard in front of Washington Regional Medical Center.

Construction preparation is underway at the site of a planned roundabout in north Fayetteville. The work requires closure of the southbound lanes of North Hills Boulevard at Futrall Drive and south toward the entrance of Washington Regional Medical Center.

A group of local residents and City Council members are looking at ways to help speed up the process of lowering the euthanasia rate – or E Rate – at the Fayetteville Animal Shelter.

The 8th annual Wingfest, sponsored by local radio station 98.3 The Keg, is set for Saturday in the parking lot of the Northwest Arkansas Mall.

Also on Saturday, the Northwest Arkansas Veterans Home Poker Run kicks off at Agri Park just off Garland Avenue in Fayetteville.
