Crews with Cuerden Signs and Multi-Craft Contractors are working this week to install exterior signs at the Chancellor Hotel in downtown Fayetteville. The hotel is undergoing a complete renovation and is set to reopen Friday, Sept. 14.

Fayetteville was ranked eighth on a Livability.com Top 10 list of the best lesser-known barbecue cities in the country.
This week’s featured pets are Nala, a 2-year-old blonde Shepherd and Hunter, a 2-month-old tabby kitten. Both are available at the Fayetteville Animal Shelter.
Live music, kid-friendly activities, burgers, hotdogs, and snow cones are a few of the highlights of the first ever Evelyn cHills Fest, set for 1-5 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 18 in the parking lot of the shopping center.
Black Crowes frontman Chris Robinson will be in town with his new project, The Chris Robinson Brotherhood, for a show at George’s Majestic Lounge on Tuesday, Sept. 18.
