Officials with Harps Food Stores are seeking retail beer and small farm winery permits for locations on Garland Avenue, Colorado Drive, and North College Avenue in Fayetteville.
Ryan Abshire, a 23-year-old small business owner and Dickson Street bartender, said he plans to challenge Matthew Petty for the Ward 2, Position 2 City Council seat in the Nov. 6 general election.
Old Wire Road will be closed on the east side of Crossover Road through Friday, Aug. 10 to allow for the removal of the existing bridge and the installation of a new drainage structure.
Five bands that play their own unique versions of music from classic video games will perform during a show called “Level Up” on Friday, Aug. 10 at Smoke & Barrel Tavern.
