Pets of the week: Bojangles and Tyson

Photos: Todd Gill, Flyer staff

Meet Bojangles, a 4-month-old, domestic short-haired kitty who loves to play. In fact, we had already decided on another cat named Captain Awesome, but Bojangles was having so much fun behind us that we couldn’t resist making him the featured cat of the week instead.

Bojangles was reaching out at our camera for most of the photos, but he did decide to chill out for a few seconds and pose for a few other shots.

He’s into pointing and purring, and has a deep appreciation for conveniently placed hammocks.

This guy wasn’t the only kitten in the cage today, but he was certainly the best salesman. Just look at him!

Note: In case you were wondering, Captain Awesome is definitely awesome.

Tyson is a 3-year-old Shepherd mix pup who would love to find a new home.

We found a note on his cage that says he’s an energetic dog who loves to run. There wasn’t a lot of room for us to test his top speed, but he’s certainly an energetic guy. He had his eye on a small dog who was running around on the other side of the gate and it was easy to see how much he wanted to join in on the fun.

If you’re looking for a friend to join you on the trails this fall, consider meeting Tyson. He might be your new running buddy.
