Months of discussion over whether to use taxpayer money to fund Walton Arts Center renovations and a regional park in southwest Fayetteville could come to a head this fall during a Nov. 12 special election that would ask voters for permission to extend HMR bonds originally approved 16 years ago to build the Fayetteville Town Center.

After taking a break last month, First Thursday Fayetteville will return to the Fayetteville downtown square tonight. Here’s what’s in store.

It’s time for another installment of our Fayetteville Photo Challenge. Tell us where this photo was taken for a chance to win a $50 gift card to any one of our sponsors.

Residents can adopt a cat or kitten for free this weekend. The Fayetteville Animal Shelter’s third annual Free Cat Friday event is set for Friday, Aug. 2.
