The Black Crowes concert originally scheduled for Wednesday, Sept. 11 in Fayetteville, apparently, was just not meant to be.
After changing the venue earlier this week, Walton Arts Center officials this afternoon announced that the show has been cancelled.
According to a statement issued by the band late on Tuesday, Fayetteville’s is one of two shows being cancelled along with Tuesday’s Birmingham, Ala. performance “due to a family emergency.”
A closer look at the groups’s website shows that the band is actually looking to move the Birmingham show to Wednesday in place of the Fayetteville date. We don’t have confirmation on why, but it’s worth noting that Birmingham is a sold-out show and Fayetteville was moved to a smaller venue earlier this week.
All tickets will be refunded in full, and Walton Arts Center officials will be calling ticket holders to issue refunds in the next 36 hours.
