The annual Veterans Day ceremony is scheduled for 11 a.m. Monday in the auditorium inside Building 3 at Veterans Health Care System of the Ozarks at 1100 N. College Ave. in Fayetteville.

Arvest Bank program
Also on Monday, Arvest Bank will honor those who have served our country with a Veterans Day reception in downtown Fayetteville.
The program begins at 2 p.m. at the bank’s Fayetteville square branch, and will include remarks by Donny Story, President and CEO of Arvest Fayetteville, and Randy George, a retired U.S. Army Sergeant Major who currently serves as VFW Commander for Springdale Post 2952 and Arkansas District No. 1.
There also will be performances by the St. Joseph’s Youth Choir under the direction of Mrs. Carol Laury, and check presentations to Camp Alliance and the Regional National Cemetery Improvement Corporation

2013 RazorVets banquet
The second annual RazorVets celebration banquet is set for 6 p.m. Friday, Nov. 15 in the Arkansas Union Verizon Ballroom.
The event, which honors University of Arkansas faculty, staff, students and alumni veterans, is hosted by the Arkansas Alumni Association and the U of A Veterans Resource and Information Center. It is sponsored by Woodmen of the World and Vietnam veterans Curt Munson and Bruce Munson in honor of Oliver ‘Ollie’ Campbell.
Lt. Gen. Bradley A. Heithold, a 1981 University of Arkansas graduate and vice commander, Headquarters U.S. Special Operations Command in Washington, D.C., will be the keynote speaker. Heithold will talk about his own military experiences and his responsibilities of planning, coordinating and executing actions with the office of the Secretary of Defense, the Joint Staff, the services and other government agencies in the national capital on behalf of the Commander of U.S. Special Operations Command.
