Friday, Sept. 11
Longtime local favorites Charliehorse are playing their first Fayetteville show in a long time during happy hour at George’s along with fellow locals, Full House. It all starts at 6 p.m.
There’s a big show at Smoke & Barrel as well, with the return of Handmade Moments and Sad Daddy.
Kingfish has music as well with the Paper Moon Shiners, and locals The Odds are at JJ’s Grill.
George’s also has a late night country show show, with Frank Foster and Jordan Davis.

Saturday, Sept. 12
It is going to be a beautiful fall morning at the Fayetteville Farmers’ Market.
After that, there’s a party on the Fayetteville square to commemorate the end of the first ever Square to Square Bike Ride. The event will include live music by Farmer and the Markets, craft stations for kids, and more. Here’s our story about it.
Also on Saturday, the authors of a new book about this history of College Avenue will host a book signing at Nightbird Books. The book is called On the Avenue: An Illustrated History of Fayetteville’s US Highway 71B. Here’s more info.
The 4th annual Pesto Fest is also taking place on Saturday. There’s music, food, a pesto making contest, and more at Tri Cycle Farms. It all starts at 5 p.m. Details are here.
Local band Bik Fliqqr will celebrate the release a new album Saturday night at Backspace with Fort Smith punk band, Not on Your Life. BYOB.

Evelyn Hills Shopping Center will host another installment of their annual Midtown Music Showcase on Sunday. There will be local beer, a dunking booth, and vendor booths. Fayetteville bands Cutty Rye (2 p.m.) and Rochelle Bradshaw & Hypnotion (3:45 p.m.) will provide the soundtrack for this year’s showcase. Here’s more info.
