Crystal Bridges will kick off their Distinguished Speaker Series this weekend with a talk by Faith Ringgold on her fascinating career, her first hand experience with the civil rights movement in America, and more. The talk is set for 7 p.m. Here’s a bit more info.
Songwriter Christopher Denny is back in Fayetteville for the first time in a long time for a show at Smoke & Barrel Tavern Friday night. Denny made arguably one of the best albums ever by an Arkansan a couple years ago, and he’ll give you chills with his live performance. Locals The Good Fear will open the show.
Also in tunes, Little Rock pop bands Canopy Climbers and Brothers + Company will be in town for a show at George’s on Friday night. There’s lots more below.
