Friday, May 6

It’s going to be one of those amazing weekends in Fayetteville. One where the weather is going to be perfect, and where there is such a diverse lineup of festivals and entertainment to be experienced, that if you can’t find something you enjoy, well, buddy, we don’t know what to tell you.
There’s a comedy festival in town, for example. The first ever Huge Lightening Comedy Festival featuring comedians from all over the country, as well as local comics, improv troupes, and more, will be happening on Friday and Saturday night at Path Outfitters. Tickets range from $10 for a single session to $30 for a full day pass. Here’s a lot more information about the festival.
There’s also a craft beer festival happening in town. Fayetteville Foam Fest kicks off with a VIP Brewer’s Dinner on Friday night at the Chancellor Hotel, chef-prepared cuisine paired with local craft brews. Sounds delicious to use. Details are here.
There are a couple really fun shows at Walton Arts Center this weekend as well. The Broadway hit, Disney’s Beauty & The Beast is playing on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday at the WAC, as is the interactive show The Strange Undoing of Prudencia Hart in their newly expanded Starr Theatre.

It’s going to be an absolutely beautiful morning at the Fayetteville Farmers’ Market on the square.
After that, good luck choosing what to do.

The first ever Fayetteville Foam Fest Cycling Brewery Tour is set to begin at 10 a.m., for those who like to combine a little exercise with their alcohol intake (and apparently, don’t mind starting drinking at 10 a.m.). Details about the tour are here.
Speaking of tours, the annual Washington Elementary Tour of Homes is also on Saturday beginning at noon. Here’s our story about that.
The Kentucky Derby is also happening on Saturday night, and there’s a mini-version happening in Fayetteville. Equestrian Bridges will host the 4rd annual Mini Derby benefitting children with autism and their families from 3 to 7 p.m. on Saturday, May 7 at Parkerman Stables, 3100 Oakland Zion Road in east Fayetteville. Here’s more.
The springtime version of the annual Little Craft Show, featuring makers and crafters from all over the region, is set for 10 a.m. – 6 p.m. in downtown Springdale.
The main event of the Fayetteville Foam Fest is also on Saturday night from 5-9 p.m. at Fayetteville Town Center. Last we heard, tickets were nearly sold out. If any are left, you can get them at fayettevillefoamfest.com.
There’s plenty of music and more below. Soak as much of it up as you can.
