Friday, Sept. 16

Artist Laboratory Theatre moved into a new home in an old church in South Fayetteville, and they’re throwing a party to get to know wha folks want to see from their community theatre on Friday night. They’re calling it a “Listening Party.” What’s that. Here’s how they describe it. “Imagine a world where everyone gets a chance to express themselves in a beautiful and meaningful way, and then add games, delicious food and drink, community dialogue, AND a bit of theatre!” Sound cool? Here’s more info.
Just down the street, there’s a comedy show at Nomad’s Music Lounge. Comedians include Zach Slusher, Stetson Banks, Mike Denny, and others. Admission is $5.
Music wise, local favorites Goose are performing at George’s, and David Starr is back in town for a show at Mermaid’s Seafood Restaurant.
