TheatreSquared has a new show opening this weekend. The troupe will perform Lisa D’Amour’s Pulitzer Prize finalist and Obie Award-winning play Detroit, with shows scheduled through the weekend at Nadine Baum Studios. Here’s a schedule.
Music-wise, local hip-hop band Galaxy Guides will perform at the new Stage 18, country act Eli Young Band is at George’s, and Dallas rockers The Roomsounds will perform at Smoke & Barrel Tavern.

There’s a family concert at Fayetteville Public Library Saturday morning with local singer/songwriter, Shannon Wurst. The show starts at 10:30 a.m., and is free to attend.
Later that afternoon, Black History Month festivities get underway at the library with an workshop called “Allies for Equality.” Here’s more info about that.
If you’re thirsty on Saturday, you could head to Frost Fest taking place near the Washington County Fairgrounds in Fayetteville. It’s a craft beer festival featuring brews from all over the region. Here’s more info.
Legendary country act the Nitty Gritty Dirt Band is in town for a show at Walton Arts Center Saturday night. Here’s the ticket information.
Also Saturday night, local band Nature & Madness will host a show/potluck/new song release party at Smoke & Barrel with excellent local band, Gravedancer, and Austin-based band, Name Sayers.
