Gift cards are now available for parking in Fayetteville’s entertainment district.
The card system was unveiled this week, which city officials said could be used as gifts for students, visitors, eventgoers, employees, customers and other area patrons.
The cards can be used at any of the 28 pay stations in the downtown area. Cards can be purchased in increments of $25, $50 or $100 and can be reloaded at any pay station.
Cards are currently only available for purchase in person at the city’s Parking Management Office at 416 W. Spring St. in the Spring Street Parking Deck.
Users will now see three options when accessing the main pay station screen:
- Pay By Space
- Recharge Smart Card
- Check Card Balance
To use a gift card, select “Pay by Space” and enter the space number and desired duration as normal. Then insert the gift card when prompted to pay – just like when using a credit card.
To reload the card, select “Recharge Smart Card” and follow the prompts. Users also can check the remaining balance on the card by selecting “Check Card Balance” from the main screen.
