Weekend Flyer: PostSecret, SoNA, Barrett Baber, Josh Abbott Band, and more

Friday, March 9

It’s going to be a beautiful weekend for baseball, and the Hogs have a series versus Kent State this weekend. First pitch on Friday is at 3 p.m. at Baum Stadium, and it’s looking like a double header to avoid the chance of rain on Saturday.

How about some comedy? Nomad’s is hosting one of their popular Southtown Comedy Shows on Friday night with comedian Meghan Welch. The fun starts at 8 p.m.

There’s a cool-sounding show at Walton Arts Center Friday night. PostSecret is a live version of the website that became popular a few years ago. The show version is described as “an immersive, poignant journey through the humor and humanity of the personal stories we keep to ourselves, and on rare occasions, share with others.” There are a few chances to see it this weekend.

Music-wise, country band Josh Abbott Band is in town for a show at George’s. It’s not uncommon for them to sell the place out, so it’s a good idea to grab tickets pronto if you can.
