Years ago, Norman-based band The Hosty Trio was kind of a mainstay on the marquee of the old JR’s Lightbulb Club on Block Avenue in Fayetteville. It’s been a while since musician Mike Hosty has performed in town, but he’ll be back for a solo show at Smoke & Barrel Friday night. He’s doing a one-man band thing now. Check it out here.
Speaking of one-man-bands, there’s another good one at George’s on Friday night as well, with Henry + The Invisibles. Check him out here. He’ll perform along with Lou Dog, the Sublime tribute made of a local musicians.
Also in tunes, there’s a big show at Backspace featuring locals Ten High and Wirms, along with touring acts Kool 100s and James & The Ultrasounds.
There’s a music and comedy show called The Mixtape happening at Nomad’s. The show will feature comedy by Louisville act Dan Alten, and musical acts Not Tight (Memphis), and local guitarist Chase Chamberlain.
There’s more below.
