The 2018 Bikes, Blues & BBQ rally included more arrests, but less citations and less wrecks than last year, according to Fayetteville police.
This year’s event included a total of 28 arrests, 23 rally-related citations, 3 wrecks, and 1 stolen motorcycle during the four-day rally, compared to 15 arrests, 38 citations, 9 wrecks, and 1 stolen motorcycle in 2017.
Police said only one person was cited in the first two days of the event with 23 more citations coming in the final two days of the annual motorcycle rally. A total of 17 motorcycle drivers were cited for engine revving inside the event area (13 drivers were cited in 2017).
Of those arrested, 21 people were from Washington or Benton County and 7 were from outside the region or out of state.
Only one motorcycle was reported stolen during the rally, but it was later recovered by police.

Wednesday, Sept. 26 activity
Arrests:
- Three local residents were arrested for public intoxication. One of those was also charged with disorderly conduct.
(There were no citations, no wrecks, and no motorcycles reported stolen on Wednesday.)
Thursday, Sept. 27 activity
Citations:
- One non-local visitor was cited for minor in possession and fraudulent ID.
Arrests:
- Three local residents were arrested for public intoxication.
- One local resident was arrested for possession of drug paraphernalia.
- One local resident was arrested on a traffic warrant.
- One non-local resident was arrested for DWI and careless driving.
Stolen motorcycles:
- One motorcycle was reported stolen, but was recovered by police.
(There were no wrecks reported on Thursday.)
Friday, Sept. 28 activity
Citations:
- Four local residents were cited for engine revving.
- One local resident was cited for no insurance.
- One local resident was cited for minor in possession.
Arrests:
- Four local residents were arrested for public intoxication. One of those was also charged with disorderly conduct and another was charged with refusal to submit.
- One local resident was arrested for possession of drug paraphernalia.
- One local resident was arrested for DWI.
- One local resident was arrested for 3rd degree battery and public intoxication.
- One non-local visitor was arrested for public intoxication and also charged with resisting arrest.
- One non-local visitor was arrested for disorderly conduct.
- One non-local visitor was arrested for DWI.
- Two non-local visitors were arrested for public intoxication.
Wrecks:
- One accident was reported inside the venue area.
(There were no motorcycles reported stolen on Friday.)
Saturday, Sept. 29 activity
Citations:
- Six local residents were cited for engine revving. One of those was also charged with no driver’s license and no insurance, and another was charged with no motorcycle endorsement.
- Seven non-local visitors were cited for engine revving.
- One non-local visitor was cited for reckless driving and failure to pay a citation.
- One non-local visitor was cited for prohibited parking.
- One non-local visitor was cited for careless driving.
Arrests:
- Four local residents was arrested for public intoxication. One of those was also charged with minor in possession, and another was charged with disorderly conduct.
- One local resident was arrested for DWI.
- One local resident was arrested for failure to appear and possession of a controlled substance.
- One non-local visitor was arrested for disorderly conduct.
Wrecks:
- Two accidents were reported inside the venue area.
