Drivers should be aware of new stop signs coming to an intersection near the Fayetteville Public Library.
City crews are set to install new stop signs on West Avenue at the intersection of South Street on Monday, Oct. 29. Traffic on West Avenue was previously uninterrupted at the intersection, but will now require both northbound and southbound traffic to stop, creating an all-way stop.
City officials recently reviewed vehicle counts, speeds, turning patterns and visibility at the intersection, and determined that an all-way stop would improve traffic flow and increase safety, according to a news release.
