TheatreSquared’s holiday show ‘Miss Bennet: Christmas at Pemberley’ opens Nov. 28

Know how we know the holiday season is fast approaching? Christmas lights. They’re everywhere.

But another sure sign that old Santa Claus himself is coming to town soon is that TheatreSquared is set to open their annual holiday show today (Nov. 28), when Miss Bennet: Christmas at Pemberley opens at Nadine Baum Studios.

Here’s a synopsis, from T2’s website.

As the family gathers at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Darcy to celebrate Christmas, Mary – the bookish middle child of the Bennets – finally has her day. Set two years after the events of Pride and Prejudice, this winning sequel with period style and modern wit is sure to delight Jane Austen fans and newcomers alike. Appropriate for all ages; recommended for 10+.

The Chicago Tribune called the show “Highly entertaining, droll and quite delicious — the kind of thing generations can enjoy together,” which is a good thing this time of year.

Performances are scheduled Wednesday-Sunday for the first two weeks of the run through Dec. 9, and then Tuesday-Sunday from Dec. 11-30.

Tickets range from $17.50-$50, on sale now at waltonartscenter.org.
