No offense, but you guys look like you could use a weekend. Happy Friday.
Want to take in a show this weekend? There are some big ones in town. TheatreSquared will continue their run of the holiday show, Miss Bennet: Christmas at Pemberley at Nadine Baum Studios, and the touring show On Your Feet!, telling the story of Gloria and Emilio Estefan, is playing at the Walton Arts Center.
Music wise, you could see a super intimate show at the Guisinger Music building on the square (formerly Odom Law Firm) featuring Danish songwriter MC Hansen and locals, Smokey & The Mirror. Tickets are $15, and proceeds from the evening will help to pay for a new record created through a collaboration between the artists.
There’s a big country show at George’s with Koe Wetzel and Chris Colston Friday night as well. Hope you got your tickets for this one, though. It’s sold out.
Wampus Wonderland’s new Nerd Prom, the shopping event and party featuring music by DJ Clunk (Chris Selby), drinks, cosplay, special prizes and a special appearance by Krampus, the Christmas goat monster, is happening at the Hilton Garden Inn. Here’s more info about that.
Also Friday night, the businesses along Block Avenue will host their annual Oh Local Night holiday shopping event. Shops will be open late with open houses, hot drinks, and a shared receipt discount of 10%. Here’s more info.
There’s a ton more below.
