New stop signs installed last week created an all-way stop intersection at Appleby Road and Bishop Drive.
City officials said after reviewing speeds and visibility, it was determined that creating an all-way stop at the intersection would increase safety for all users.
The idea was also part of a BikeNWA pilot project to add bicycle safety improvements to the existing bike lanes on Appleby. The work included adding reflective traffic buttons at 15-foot intervals along the existing painted stripe that lines the 5-foot bike lanes on both sides of the road.
