A Fayetteville Roots Festival band that performed back in 2011 is coming back to town for a show this weekend. North Carolina-based bluegrass band Chatham County Line will perform on Friday night at the Guisinger Music House. Here’s our interview with them from way back in 2011.

There’s a big EDM show at George’s Friday night with producers Big Wild, Evan Giia, and Ark Patrol. Hope you already have tickets to this one, though. It’s completely sold out.

Also in tunes, there’s a four-band bill at Nomads Trailside with Glass Mansions, A Sunday Fire, Withcsister, and Foxpaw.

Walton Arts Center has a cool-sounding event on Friday night called Together Live. The event brings together a diverse group of speakers and storytellers for an evening of “laughter, music and hard-won wisdom.” Speakers include Glennon Doyle, Abby Wambach, Maysoon Zayid, Cameron Esposito, Nkosi Mabaso and Milck. Saturday, Oct. 19

The Hogs are back in action on Saturday morning. This time, they’ll take on the No. 11 ranked Auburn Tigers at 11 a.m. at Razorback Stadium.

A brand new outdoor music venue is celebrating their grand opening this weekend. The new Prairie Street Live has a weekend of fun lined up at their new hangout spot. They’ll be showing the Hogs game at 11 a.m., and later on, they’ll host a show with local reggae band Rochelle Bradshaw & Hypnotion. Here’s more info.

Local bands Goose and Monk is King will share the stage at George’s Majestic Lounge on Saturday night, Pat Ryan Key and Al Halpin are at West & Watson, and Terra Nova Kings are at JJ’s on Dickson on Saturday night.
