Local blues band Brick Fields has a new album called Blues Therapy, and they’ll celebrate the release of the new record on Friday night during Happy Hour at George’s. Sounds like they will have CD copies of the album available. Admission is $5.

Also in tunes, local indie-soul-pop band Fry will perform at Smoke & Barrel with fellow locals Sad Palomino. This one’s also $5.

Local watering hole Nomads is celebrating 5 years in business with a birthday cocktail bash on Saturday night. There will be live music by The Radio Sky & Space In The 80s, cocktail flights, and more. Here’s some more info.

The Hoop Hogs are off to an amazing start this year, and they’ll be kicking off SEC play on Saturday in a sold-out Bud Walton Arena versus Texas A&M.

George’s has a jam-grass show with a newish local all-star group, Go On Git, and local rockers Judason Void and Elephantom are at Smoke & Barrel Tavern.
