Allegiant Air will offer direct flights from Northwest Arkansas National Airport (XNA) to Austin, Texas beginning July 2.
The non-stop flights to Austin-Bergstrom International Airport will be offered on Mondays and Fridays, according to a news release.
Introductory rates were as low at $49 for some one-way fares as of Tuesday (Feb. 9), according to Allegiant’s website.
“We are thrilled to welcome a new direct flight from XNA to Austin,” said Aaron Burkes, XNA CEO. “This route offers access to a destination that fulfills both business and leisure interests of the Northwest Arkansas community. We appreciate Allegiant’s commitment to our market and look forward to this continued partnership.”
XNA was previously known as a regional airport, but its board voted to change the name to Northwest Arkansas National Airport in late 2019. The airport’s three-letter code (XNA) remained the same.
