Happy Friday, everyone.
Walton Arts Center has a couple In the Atrium shows this weekend, including A Carnatic Journey – Indian Classical Music at 7 p.m. on Friday, and the Alisha Pattillo Quartet at the same time on Saturday. Both shows are sold out, so hopefully you already got your tickets. If you’d like to plan ahead for next time, there are several more shows in the series coming up.
George’s has some shows coming up, including Isayah’s All Stars for Happy Hour on Friday evening, with a free show by Jesse Dean & Left of Center later on. On Saturday, locals Jenna and the Soul Shakers will perform. Ticket info is here.
There’s outdoor music on Mount Sequoyah on Saturday night, with a performance by Candace Houston and Adam Cox at 6 p.m. Here’s ticket info.
Also this weekend, Experience Fayetteville will host another installment of its pop-up series events this weekend. The event will include a lounge at the corner of West Avenue and Dickson Street, also known as the Walton Arts Center parking lot. It will be open from 5-10 p.m. on Friday, April 2 and from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. on Saturday, April 3. During Friday’s event, the Juice will perform beginning at 6 p.m. On Saturday, Ashtyn Barbaree takes the stage at 11 a.m., followed by Bootleg Royale at 1:30 p.m. There is no fee to enter.
If you’re looking for sports, the Hog Baseball Team is in action versus Auburn on Friday and Saturday night. The Hogs dropped the first game of the series last night on a tough day at the plate, with the Tigers taking game one 2-1. There’s also Hog soccer, and tennis to check out this weekend (see below for details/game times).
It’s Easter ewekend, so brunch is probably in order on Sunday. There are a few ideas for brunch in our Weekly Deals post from our sponsors from earlier this week.
The Farmers’ Market is back in action on the square. There are COVID-19 restrictions in place of course, and it’s kind of all business down there as result. You can still get your veggies, flowers, and other items, though.
You could also sing some karaoke tunes at Big Box, or walk around downtown with a beverage in the Outdoor Refreshment Area.
There are more options below. Enjoy this beautiful spring weather if you can.
