May is National Bike Month, and it all kicks off this Saturday! To celebrate, BikeNWA has partnered with Love to Ride, sponsored by First National Bank, to host a month-long celebration! Throughout May, there are weekly and overall challenges for participants to compete, win prizes, and top the leaderboards. The challenges are for all ages, abilities, and styles of riding!

This year we’d like to see new faces participate, so help encourage those of your friends, family, neighbors, and coworkers.

To participate, users register for free on and begin logging their rides. In June, BikeNWA will host a wrap-up celebration recognizing the top participants and their achievements. During past National Bike Month celebrations, Northwest Arkansas has topped the national charts for our community participation; this year, they hope to exceed our participation numbers and join the national leaderboard ranks once again.

Love to Ride also syncs with Strava or MapMyRide. It’s not all about who can ride the most miles, but about encouraging as many people as possible to set themselves biking goals and ride for health, happiness, and fun.

We would love to see new folks sign up and participate! See how accessible the challenges are – anyone could win! Prizes this year vary but get excited about a Wahoo bike computer and Burley kid trailer in this year’s mix!
