The latest event in the Fayetteville Adventure Series is set for Sunday, July 11 with a family bike ride along the Razorback Greenway.
Experience Fayetteville, the city’s tourism bureau, recently joined a local partnership to help fund low-cost, beginner bike rides in the Fayetteville area. The series offers recreational rides and educational events that delve deeper into the Ozark outdoors.
Sunday’s event starts with a shuttle from the Visitors Center on the Fayetteville Square to the Lake Fayetteville area where bikes will be unloaded and the 8-mile ride will begin.
The plan is to ride at an easy, family-friendly pace along the Razorback Greenway with planned activities along the way. The group will stop to have a sack lunch and ice cream at Wilson Park.
Cost is $65 for a family of four. Up to two extra people can ride with a family (total of six) for $10 each.
Guests should be able to ride a bike unassisted or be in a bike trailer or on kid carrier. Bike trailers must be able to fold flat for transport.
