Melissa Etheridge / Greensky Bluegrass / Larry Mitchell
It’s going to be another busy weekend in (and around) Fayetteville. Get ready.
To start, George’s has a full lineup of shows this weekend, including a happy hour show featuring local legends, Earl & Them, followed by a performance by 100 Proof & Friends Friday night, and a country show with Tanner Usrey and Jordan Nix on Saturday. Also at George’s this weekend is the 7Hills Homeless Center benefit we told y’all about earlier this week, featuring performances by Funk Factory, Earl & Them, Jeremiah & The Band, and Hot Tamale Sam. Here’s more on that.
Also in tunes, Mount Sequoyah Center has a couple cool shows in their cottage circle this weekend, including Grammy winner Larry Mitchell on Friday night, and acclaimed singer/songwriter Tim Eriksen on Saturday night. Ticket info is here.
Walton Arts Center has a big show on Sunday night with Grammy award-winner and platinum-selling recording artist, Melissa Etheridge. There are still tickets available, and you can get them here.
How about a music festival? There’s one of those this weekend not too far from Fayetteville at The Farm in Eureka Springs. It’s called Hillberry, and headliners include Railroad Earth, Greensky Bluegrass, Sam Bush, Leftover Salmon, the Infamous Stringdusters, and more. Here’s more info.
There are other cool performances as well. TheatreSquared will continue their run of their buzz-worthy show, Designing Women at their venue in downtown Fayetteville. There’s a cool show at The Momentary as well, with Sun & Sea (here’s more on that), and UA Theatre is also in action this weekend with a performance of Shakespeare’s Love’s Labour Lost.
How about some cycling related action? The Miracle Travel Works annual Poker Ride on the trail system on Saturday, and the beginingg of the annual Arkansaw High Country Race kicking off from the square on Saturday morning.
The Razorback football team will be in action at 11 a.m. against Ole Miss on Saturday. It’s an away game in Oxford, and it will be televised by ESPN.
Thats not even half of it. There’s plenty more below. Have a great weekend, everyone.
