Who’s ready for a weekend? (raises hand)
There are a bunch of holiday art and craft markets this weekend so you can pick up something unique and locally made for all the buds on your list this year. Off the top of our heads, there’s the Holiday Art Sale at Studio 545 (545 W. Center Street) in Fayetteville this weekend, the Wampus Wonderland and Fenix Fayetteville sales on Mount Sequoyah, the Community Creative Center sale there’s a NWA Makers auction at Holidaze on Sunday, and there’s one at The Momentary up in Bentonville as well. Get some local arts and crafts.
How about a show? Walton Arts Center has Charlie and the Chocolate Factory playing all weekend, TheatreSquared’s got a new version of A Christmas Carol playing at the library, as well as two shows (Marie & Rosetta and Tiny Beautiful Things) at their theatre on West Avenue.
JJ’s Live has a magic show with magician and illusionist Reza on Saturday night.
George’s has some good shows this weekend as well, with Earl & Them kicking things off for Happy Hour Friday night, followed by two nights of dance parties with The Floozies.
There’s also an EDM show at West & Watson on Friday night with SpaceBass, of faces, Xolo and Rawbxne.
In sports, there’s a new gravel bike ride called High in the Ozarks debuting this weekend. It starts at Byrd’s Adventure Center in Ozark. There’s also a bike race at the Jones Center called Santa’s Pump Track Classic. The Razorback men’s team basketball takes on Little Rock at 3 p.m. at Bud Walton, and the women take on California on Sunday at 1 p.m.
There’s more below. Have a great weekend, everyone.
