Early voting underway in primary elections

Early voting is underway in the Washington County preferential primary and non-partisan judicial general election.

Ballots may be cast at the Washington County Courthouse on weekdays from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m., and from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturdays May 21. The courthouse will also be open for the last day of early voting on Monday, May 23 from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Early votes may also be cast in Fayetteville at Covenant Presbyterian Church (4511 W. Wedington Drive) from 8 a.m. until 6 p.m. Monday-Friday and 10 a.m. until 4 p.m. on Saturdays; and Medical Arts Pharmacy (2515 E. Huntsville Rd) in Fayetteville from 8 a.m. until 6 p.m. Monday-Fridays) through May 20.

Three other voting centers will be open for limited early voting in Fayetteville. Bud Walton Arena on campus (1270 Leroy Pond Drive) will be open from 8 a.m. until 6 p.m. May 10-12); Fayetteville Public Library will be open from 9 a.m. until 6 p.m. on May 11-12 and from 9 a.m. until 4 p.m. on May 13); and Rise Physical Therapy (2668 E. Citizens Dr. in Fayetteville) will be open from 8 a.m. until 6 p.m. May 13 and 10 a.m. until 4 p.m. on May 14.

Other early voting centers around Washington County include Elmdale Baptist Church in Springdale (1700 W. Huntsville Ave), Elkins Community Center in Elkins (162 Doolin Drive), Prairie Grove Fire Station (131 S. Neal St), Tontitown City Hall (235 E. Henri De Tonti Blvd), and West Fork Community Center (222 Webber St), Shiloh Meeting Hall (121 W. Huntsville Ave, Springdale), and Lincoln Community Center (112 Boyer Ave, Lincoln).

Election day for the preferential primary and non-partisan judicial election is set for Tuesday, May 24. Polls will open at 7:30 a.m. and stay open until 7:30 p.m. A full list of election day voting centers and hours is here.
