An outdoor street concert series will kick off Friday, June 17 on the downtown Fayetteville square.
The three-day Fayetteville Roots on the Avenue event includes live music, chef-curated food and local craft beer. The series is put together by the Fayetteville Roots Festival team.
Organizers will use the same outdoor setup as the Roots HQ on the Avenue shows in 2021, which included a stage and tables set up on East Avenue, which was closed to traffic during the event.
Dement will perform Friday night with songwriter Ana Egge.
Leyla McCalla will be joined by Black Opry Review artists Lauren Napier and Joy Clark at the Saturday show.
Bonny Light Horseman, which features Anais Mitchell, Eric D. Johnson (Fruit Bats, The Shins), and Josh Kaufman (Josh Ritter, Muzz), will headline the Sunday concert. The band is currently on tour with Bon Iver. Jett Holden and Joy Clark will also perform on Sunday.
Tickets range from $50-$150, and are available for purchase online at FayettevilleRoots.org.
