TheatreSquared will host a one-night event this week that promises to give the story of Thanksgiving “a delicious roasting.”
The company will host a staged reading of Larissa Fasthorse’s show, “The Thanksgiving Play” at 5 p.m. on Sunday, Nov. 20.
From the description of the show:
Good intentions collide with absurd assumptions in Larissa Fasthorse’s wickedly funny satire, as a troupe of terminally “woke” teaching artists scrambles to create a pageant that somehow manages to celebrate both Turkey Day and Native American Heritage Month.
The cast for the reading includes players Emily Tomlinson, Joe Binzer, Jordan Haynes and Ashton Franquiz.
The show is free to attend and open to the public.
