(Note: Since it’s Christmas weekend and there isn’t as much on the calendar as usual, we decided to entertain ourselves by writing the Weekend Flyer in the form of a very terrible Twas the Night Before Christmas-style poem. Sorry in advance.)
It’s a few days before Christmas, and all through the town there’s a chill in the air and some snow on the ground.
Ernie and Earl, Fayetteville’s beloved twins, will kick off the weekend for family and friends. The Cate Bros. play George’s to celebrate 80 years. Later on, Dawn Cate Band has some treats (for your ears.)
Lights of the Ozarks will be all a-glow, but y’all better bundle up first if you choose to go.
A Christmas Carol’s playing at TheatreSquared (as far as we know, but be careful, take care.) The show runs through Saturday night, Christmas Eve. A few tickets are available still, we believe.
Walton Arts Center is planning to screen Polar Express (if the weather cooperates, but alas, we digress.)
Crystal Bridges has another cool-sounding light show. You’ll find that and more on the short list below.
We hope y’all have fun, and the roads are alright. And we hope that your weekend is merry, and bright.
