
The weekend’s here again, finally. We thought this one was never gonna show up.
George’s will kick theirs off on Friday night with a happy hour show by Swade Diablos (that’s how they spell it), followed by country act Wade Bowen later on Friday night. On Saturday, Nashville-based soul singer Jed Harrelson will perform, and on Sunday, there’s an On the Map show featuring Keeled Scales artist Tenci along with Jude Brothers, and Francis Grove. JJ’s Live has a KISS tribute on Friday night. The band’s is called Kiss Army, and showtime is at 7:30 p.m. Tickets.
There are a couple shows at Walton Arts Center this weekend, including a jazz show featuring Brianna Thomas Sextet, and local symphony orchestra SoNA will perform their ‘Battle of the Bands’ show featuring musicians from Fayetteville Jazz Collective on Saturday night.
If you’re looking for a rock show, a good bet is Smoke & Barrel on Saturday night when Protohive, Fight Dream, and Liquid Courage are set to perform.
The Momentary also has a cool show this weekend with Italian composer Caterina Barbieri is set to perform on Saturday night as well. She’s known for her “transcendent musical experiences, combining modular synthesis with vocals and other forms of instrumentation.” This video will give you an idea of what to expect.
It’s the last weekend to check out TheatreSquared’s version of the Obie Award-winning show, Sanctuary City. Here’s the schedule.
In sports, you can check out the Razorback soccer team, who will take on Oral Roberts at Razorback Field at 7 p.m. on Friday night. Just across the street, the softball team is also in action this weekend taking on Georgia. Here’s that schedule.
