Fayetteville blood drive pays tribute to late officer Stephen Carr

The city will host a blood drive in memory of fallen officer Stephen Carr from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Thursday, April 13 inside the Fayetteville Town Center at 15 W. Mountain St.

Carr was 27 years old when he was killed by a gunman who shot him while he was sitting in his patrol vehicle behind the police station in 2019.

The event is organized in partnership with the Community Blood Center of the Ozarks, and appointments are recommended to manage donor flow.

Donors who give blood at the event will receive a free T-shirt and a voucher that can be redeemed for two free tickets to either the Scott Family Amazeum in Bentonville, the Discovery Center in Springfield, Mo. or Beyond the Lens! in Branson, Mo.
