Happy Friday, everyone. This weekend is dedicated to sports fans.
For one, the Razorback baseball team is taking on conference rivals Tennessee in a three game series at Baum Walker Stadium Friday through Sunday. Last time this happened, there were fireworks.
The Razorback football team is also in action this weekend, as the Hogs will host their annual Spring Game intrasquad scrimmage at Razorback Stadium on Saturday. There are some other festivities surrounding the game, including a performance by local party band Boom Kinetic. Gates open at 11 a.m. and the game starts at noon. It is free to attend.
Also in sports, some of the best mountain bikers from all over the world will be in town for a weekend of US Pro Cup racing at Centennial Park. Click the events on the list below to see specific race times.
There’s plenty of non-sports too. In music, George’s will kick off their weekend on Thursday with a performance by Shakedown Strings along with Noah Richmond & Friends. On Friday, they’ll host Boss Tweed’s for happy hour, followed by bluegrass acts Kitchen Dwellers and Sicard Hollow. Electronic act jonteal is on the marquee for Saturday night.

Walton Arts Center has their annual Voice Jam a cappella festival this weekend, with performances from some of the best vocal groups from around the country. On Friday, Duwendé will perform, and on Saturday, several groups will battle it out in the annual Voice Jam Competition. Here’s more about that.
The weather has been gorgeous, and the Farmers Market is back on the square. There’s a farm to table dinner on Mount Sequoyah. For history buffs, you could check out the Civil War Battle of Fayetteville observance set for 10 a.m. at the Headquarters House Museum (118 E. Dickson).
